What happens in the appointment

Sports massage at Aplomb is treatment, not a spa hour. Nadia starts with a few minutes on what you are training for and where you feel it, then checks the area so the forty-five minutes go to the muscles that need them.

The work is firm and specific: deep tissue along the spine and hips, trigger points in the shoulders, and assisted stretches for whatever has shortened under your training load. Pressure is always your call. Most people leave feeling looser and a little tender, which settles within a day.

Many of our chiropractic patients book a massage between adjustments, because a joint only stays where the muscles around it let it. Athletes tend to come every two to four weeks in a training block and the week before a race.

Good for

  • Runners, cyclists, climbers and gym regulars
  • Tight shoulders and upper back from desk work
  • Keeping on top of a problem between chiropractic visits
Neck pain
“Three years of a stiff neck by four o’clock every day. Five visits and two exercises later I get through a full week at the desk without thinking about it.”
