What happens in the appointment

A neck that aches by four o’clock is rarely a mystery. It is usually a screen too low, a chair too far back and eight hours of holding your head a few centimetres forward of where it should be.

Before the appointment we ask for two photos of your desk: one from the side while you work, one from behind. In the session we assess how your neck and upper back move, treat the muscles that have tightened, and go through the photos with you — screen height, chair, keyboard, laptop stand — with changes that cost nothing or very little.

You leave with three short movements to do at the desk and a one-page set-up checklist. Most people need one or two sessions; if the problem is more than posture, we will say so and suggest a first visit.

Good for

  • Neck and shoulder stiffness by the end of the day
  • Tension headaches that start at the base of the skull
  • New home or hybrid working set-ups
Neck pain
“Three years of a stiff neck by four o’clock every day. Five visits and two exercises later I get through a full week at the desk without thinking about it.”
