Three clinicians, one way of working

Aplomb is a small, independent clinic above the bakery on Weller Lane. Two chiropractors and a sports therapist, four treatment rooms, and a front desk that answers the phone.

Why Aplomb exists

Ilse Varga spent nine years in a hospital spinal unit before she opened Aplomb. The patients she saw there had often been through private clinics first, and many had been sold long packages of visits before anyone had properly examined them.

So the clinic runs on three rules. Every patient is assessed before they are treated. Every plan is written down, with the number of visits and the cost, before the second appointment. And every patient is discharged as soon as they can manage on their own.

That last rule is not great for repeat business, but it is why most of our new patients come from people we have already discharged.
