What happens in the appointment

Everyone starts here, whatever brought you in. The first visit is the longest appointment we offer because it is the one that decides whether everything after it is worth your money.

We start by talking. What hurts, since when, what makes it worse, what you have tried, and what you want to get back to — a school run, a 10k, a full day at a desk. Then we examine: how you stand and move, how each joint in the painful area behaves, and the neurological tests that tell us whether a nerve is involved.

By the end of the hour you know what we think is going on, in plain words and with a model of the spine in your hands if that helps. If treatment is safe, you get your first one before you leave. If it is not — because something needs a GP or a scan first — we tell you why, write the letter, and do not charge for treatment you did not have.

You go home with two exercises and an email that sets out the plan: how many visits a problem like yours usually takes, how far apart, and what it costs in total. No package to sign, no card on file.

Good for

  • Any new back, neck or joint problem
  • A problem you have had before but not with us
  • Returning after more than a year away

Conditions we often treat this way

Neck pain
“Three years of a stiff neck by four o’clock every day. Five visits and two exercises later I get through a full week at the desk without thinking about it.”
